In a bid to empower youth with jobs and entrepreneurship, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday launched the first of its kind Har Hith store scheme for promoting the sales of best quality of daily need products at reasonable prices.

These stores will provide a platform to youth franchisees as well as Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), government cooperative institutions, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), (SHGs) to increase their business, said Khattar while officially inaugurating and inspecting a store during a programme held at Panchkula.

The Chief Minister said , Making Haryana Berojgar Mukt, Rozgar Yukt by 2024 is our target and opening of these stores would ensure creating of a necessity and would also enhance the possibility to encourage Entrepreneurship and further create an ecosystem that promotes youth to be a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The Chief Minister also launched ‘Franchise Policy’ under which those interested to apply for these stores can apply after duly following the terms and conditions. As per the policy, people in the age group of 18-35, Women, persons with special disability and those verified under Mukhyamantri Parviar Uthan Yojana would be given preference. As per the policy as many as 1500 stores would be opened in rural areas and 500 in urban areas in the first phase.

Punjabs GST revenue collected on receipt basis during the month of July this year has witnessed 29 percent jump as compared to the previous year.

The GST revenue collected on receipt basis, that is cash collected under State Goods and Services Tax head, Central Goods and Services Tax head, Integrated Goods and Services Tax head and Cess head, during the month of July 2021 stands at Rs 1,533 crores which remained Rs 1,188 crores during July 2020.

The GST revenue, that is State Goods and Services Tax collected in cash and the credit of Integrated Goods and Services Tax, used to make payment of State Goods and Services Tax, transferred by the Centre, collected during the month of July 2021 is Rs 1455.85 crores which remained Rs 1103.31 crores during the month of July 2020. The GST revenue during the month of July 2021 is 31.95 percent higher than the GST revenue during the month of July 2020, which indicates that the pace of economic recovery has improved.

The GST revenue up to the month of July 2021 is 85.28 percent higher than the corresponding period in the previous year. Improve the quality of education and ensure transparency to make Himachal Pradesh a hub of education, said Govind Singh Thakur, Education Minister, while speaking at a conference organised by Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HPPEIRC).

The HPPEIRC for facilitating job creation and EMPLOYMENT. He said steps had been initiated to implement NEP-2020 in private higher Education institutions. Vice-Chancellors of private universities were also present at the conference.

The Uttarakhand forest department has decided to develop a city forest in Haridwar at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore within two years. The department has already identified eight hectares of land along the Ganga in the Kankhal area of the holy town for the purpose.According to the plan, the forest will have a seven-kilometre-long track for joggers, a park for kids, and a herbal medicine garden, among others.

For the past few months, the forest department has been conducting a massive plantation drive in the area.

Efforts are on to make water available in the parched and rugged Bundelkhand region where the Uttar Pradesh government has set a target to set up 10,000 ponds under Khet Talab Yojana at an estimated cost of Rs 10,000 crore.

The State Government plans to build 10,000 farm ponds at a cost of Rs 100 crore in the 2021-22 financial year. Government agencies have already dug 4,400 farm ponds at a cost of Rs 49.56 crore so far as part of the Other Intervention component of its ‘Per Drop More Crop’ scheme. Most ponds have been constructed in Bundelkhand and Vindhya regions. Besides geo-tagging of these ponds, 50 per cent subsidy is given to the farmers through direct benefit transfer (DBT). Water saved in these ponds during the rainy season will be used for irrigation purposes and as drinking water for the cattle in the rest of the season.

According to an estimate, around 20 million cubic metre of drinking water will be available to the people of Mahoba. Aiming to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogans such as ‘Per Drop, More Crop’ and ‘Water to Every Field, the BJP government in the state has been intensively working on these projects since taking over four years ago.

In order to improve the health and nutritional status of the State, the Department of Rural Development, Government of Jharkhand on Tuesday launched the JASHN Project, which stands for a Joint Action for Sustainable Health. Rural Development Secretary, Dr Manish Ranjan launched the project online.

There is a need to work on many parameters like Health, Nutrition in the State to improve health facilities. Health minister Mangal Pandey said on Monday that all preparations had been made to tackledenguein the state and 1.32 lakh medicated mosquito nets allotted to different districts.

All government Health facilities have been put on alert and district hospitals directed to create five-bed wards to treat dengue patients. Besides, nine nodal centres have been set up where the facility of Elisa test, which detects recent or past dengue infections, is available. These include thePatnaMedical College and Hospital (PMCH), Medical College and Hospital, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences.

The total public debt of Chhattisgarh has increased by 20.85 percent in 2019-20, from Rs 52,254.22 crores (2018-19) to Rs 63,164.72 crores (2019-20). The fiscal deficit was Rs 17,969.55 crores, which is 5.46 percent of GSDP and which exceeded the MTFP (Money Follows the Person Initiative) target of 2.99 percent of GSDP.

During 2018-19, the was within the FRMB (Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management) target of 3.07 percent of GSDP, said a Comptroller and Auditor General of India report tabled in the House on Friday by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. On the last day of the Monsoon session, Baghel, who also holds Finance portfolio, tabled the Finance and Accounts and Appropriation Accounts of the Chhattisgarh government for 2019.20. The report said the gross budget for 2019-20 was Rs 1,06,913.44 crores. Against it, the gross expenditure was Rs 92,261.34 crores. The tax revenue stood at Rs 42,323.69 crores and the states own revenue rose to Rs 22,117.85 crores against Rs 21,427.26 crore (2018-19). The state received Rs 13,611.24 crores Grants in aid from the Centre as compared to last fiscal.

The Capital Expenditure of the State Government was Rs 8,566,39 crores, Rs 337.06 crores less as compared to 2018-19. The Revenue Deficit of Rs 9,608.61 crores constitutes 2.92 percent of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) during 2019-20.

In 2018-19, the state had achieved a revenue surplus of Rs 683.76 crores. The Public Debt increased by 20.85 percent in 2019-20. The state government has an off-budget liability of Rs 694.26 crores towards repayment of loans taken by various entities, in addition to its budgeted liabilities of Rs 78,712.46 crores. The report said the government had provided budgetary support and accepted liability (guarantee) for Rs 17,610.17 crores in 14 Public Sector Undertaking during the period for which their accounts are in arrear up to March 31, 2020. These PSUs have not finalized their accounts for the last 1-4 years in gross violation of the Companies Act.

With a view to discourage excise related crimes in the state, Madhya Pradesh Excise Act (Madhya Pradesh Excise Act (Amendment) Bill, 2021 has been approved to increase the fine and penalty imposed on various types of crimes in the Cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, there is a provision for punishment mainly for offenses related to spurious liquor under Section 49 (A). If a person dies due to the consumption of spurious liquor, then a provision has been made for life imprisonment or death penalty and a minimum fine of Rs 20 lakh. This will increase the control of crimes.

The amendment bill provides for imprisonment of a minimum of two years and a maximum of eight years besides a fine of up to Rs two lakh for the first time and a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 14 years imprisonment and minimum fine up to Rs.10 lakh for the second time for physical damage caused by consumption of adulterated liquor unfit for human use.

Similarly, for the detection of adulterated liquor unfit for human consumption, there is provision for imprisonment for a minimum period of 6 months and maximum of 6 years and fine up to Rs. 5 lakh.

The city has witnessed nearly 300% increase in cyber crime cases compared to the previous year till July in the pandemic period.

Data shows that citizens have lost Rs three crore to cyber frauds till July this year. Of the total siphoned off online, around Rs 1.34 crore was frozen in bank accounts or returned to victims after cops took action.

Police have now launched a month-long awareness campaign Cyber Sanjivani to create awareness about such frauds.
