Himachal Drone conclave on July 4, 5

In a unique initiative to highlight the advancements and applications of drone technology, Himachal Pradesh’s Department of Digital Technologies and Governance is all set to organize the Himachal Drone Conclave on July 4 and 5 in Palampur.

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the conclave, which would bring together leaders, experts, academia, and stakeholders to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of drones.

The Information Technology Adviser (Innovation) to CM Gokul Butail said that the conclave would be aimed at highlighting the advancements and applications of drone technology across various sectors.

State govt to encourage alternative fertilisers under PM PRANAM Yojana: Pundir

The will encourage the use of alternative fertilisers and balanced use of chemical fertilisers under the PM PRANAM Yojana. The central government has done a commendable job by introducing the PM PRANAM (PM Programme for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment, and Amelioration of Mother Earth) Yojana and increasing the minimum support price of sugarcanes for farmers. This was stated by the state president of Kisan Morcha, Jogendra Singh Pundir, in a Press conference here on Friday. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party is thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for these decisions that will immensely help the farmers. He said that the government has also made a budget provision of Rs 1,451 crore in the Market Development Assistance Scheme for which cow dung, straw and organic manure will be used to enrich the Soil and keep the Environment safe and clean. The existing urea subsidy scheme has also been extended till March 2025.

He said that considering the interests of the sugarcane farmers in the sugar season 2023-24, the government has fixed the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane at Rs 315 per quintal for a basic recovery rate of 10.25 per cent. It has also approved providing a premium of Rs 3.07 per quintal for every 0.1 per cent increase in recovery above 10.25 per cent. Apart from this, the government has also decided that there will be no deduction in cases of sugar mills where the recovery is less than 9.5 per cent in order to protect the interests of sugarcane farmers. He said that farmers will get Rs 291.975 per quintal for sugarcane in the coming sugar season- October 2023 to September 2024 instead of Rs 282.125 per quintal in the current season. Pundir also thanked the union president of Kisan Morcha, Rajkumar Chahar for increasing the minimum support price of Moong, Arhar, Paddy, Maize, and Urad Dal to improve the economy of the farmers.

UP Har Ghar Jal scheme crosses 50 per cent mark

Uttar Pradesh achieved the target of 50 per cent of its Har Ghar Jal scheme which is aimed at providing clean drinking water to rural families.

As many as 1.3 crore families in rural areas have got tap connections, which will benefit 7.9 crore people. Under the Har Ghar Jal scheme, a total of 2.6 crore rural families have to be provided clean water by 2024.
The Centre has congratulated the Yogi government on its achievement. Jal Shakti minister Swatantra Dev Singh and principal secretary Anurag Srivastava Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply department congratulated the officials, engineers and staff for the achievement.
The scheme has been implemented in the remote areas in nine districts of Bundelkhand and Vindhyan region.

In seven districts in Bundelkhand, over 11 lakh families got a clean water supply. Mahoba district is on the top of the districts that have got new tap connections in the Bundelkhand region. A total of 91.8% of rural families in Mahoba have got clean water supply. In the Vindhyan region, more than four lakh rural families have been covered under the scheme.

CM gifts 616 schemes worth Rs 164.34 Cr on Hul Diwas

On the occasion of Hul Diwas, the Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated a total of 616 schemes worth Rs 16434.841 lakh, inaugurated 99 schemes worth Rs 1571.277 lakh and laid the foundation stone of 517 schemes worth Rs 14863.564 lakh. These include inauguration of Gen Next e-hospital system at Sadar Hospital, Sahibganj, Phulo Jhano Memorial Park at Bhognadih and newly constructed building of Ranga Police station. On this occasion, he distributed assets worth Rs 12 crore 80 lakh 27 thousand 900 among the beneficiaries. Apart from this, the CM handed over the appointment letters to the doctors and the newly appointed.

The CM said that the government has taken several steps in the direction of providing quality education in government schools. The government has started the School of Excellence. Here on the lines of private schools poor children are being given free education through English medium, whereas all necessary Resources have been made available in other government schools. Not only this, from preparing for competitive exams to studying medical engineering and other courses, the government will also bear the entire expenses of higher education abroad. Children just focus on their studies.

Bihar, opposition states corner 74% of Centres capex aid

Biharwill receive the largest chunk of the Rs 56,415 crore cleared by theCentrefor 16 states as part of the scheme to boostcapital .

The finance ministry said Bihar is in line to receive Rs 9,640 crore, or 17%, of funds, with Madhya Pradesh next. Opposition-ruled states have cornered Rs 41,566 crore, almost three-fourth so far, with West Bengal, Rajasthan and Odisha among top beneficiaries.

Capital investment projects in diverse sectors havebeen approved, including Health, Education, Irrigation, water supply, power, roads, bridges and railways. Funds for meeting the states share of Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana have also been provided to enhance pace of the projects in these sectors

Under the scheme, in 2023-24, special assistance is being provided to the states through 50-year interest-free loans up to Rs 1. 3 lakh crore. While there are eight components, the biggest, of Rs 1 lakh, is linked to the share of taxes and duties as prescribed by the 15th Finance Commission, along with compliance with the reforms proposed by the Centre.

Under the One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme on the instructions of the Centre, E-KYC process of the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act will be done till July 31 July.

It is necessary to authenticate the Aadhar information of all members of the ration card for implementation of One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme.

Food Department officials said there are continuous problems in food distribution due to incorrect and unverified Aadhar information. The e-KYC process is free of charge and is available at government fair price shops equipped with e-pos.

95% govt health facilities dont maintain essential drugs stocks

Around 95% of public Health facilities inMadhya Pradeshare not maintaining stocks of medicines prescribed in essential drug list (EDL) of new drug policy of , showed records. The information came to fore through an analysis of a dashboard of Madhya Pradesh Public Health Services Corporation Limited (MPPHSCL), which is monitoring real time daily stocks of facilities in the state.
The dashboard showed that only 86 of those 1617 facilities including primary health centres (PHC) and district hospitals have essential medicines stocks in accordance with drug policy of state government.

The dashboard showed records for 52 district hospitals, 73 civil hospitals, 333 CHCs, and 1019 PHCs, 93UrbanPHCs, 2 Urban CHCs, and 45Sanjivani Clinics.

Health minister Dr Prabhuram Choudhary told TOI, “The drug is supplied to respective hospitals in accordance with demands from their side and the facilities are maintaining stocks of it.”

Gujarat bags first rank in e-procurement through women entrepreneurs

The Department for Promotion of and Internal Trade (DPIIT) released the ranking of all the states of the country in various categories for the implementation of the GeM portal. According to rankings released, Gujarat has bagged the first position in the category of Procurement Through Women Entrepreneurs.

The Kreta-Vikreta Gaurav Samman Samaroh 2023 was organized by the Government e-Market Place of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India on June 26 at New Delhi to award the top performers of GeM India. Gujarat bagged one award in Platinum Category and 3 Awards each in the Gold and Silver Category at the event.

Awards were given to the top three states in the respective categories among all the states and union territories of India. The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the top-performing states. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce & Industry, and Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India and Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India, were the Chief Guests at the event.

Gujarat was ranked second in the Highest Total Order Value Category worth Rs 7,963.8 crores, and the Highest Service Procurement Category worth Rs 2,151.3 crores, as well as the Highest Procurement through MSE vendors with Rs 3,195.4 crores.

The state stood third in the category of the total number of orders with 2,99,718 orders, procurement through Start-Ups worth Rs 218 crores, and best engagement with 9,553 vendors (highest number of transacting buyers).

Rajasthan cabinet approves splitting Jaipur district into 4, Jodhpur into 2; notifications soon

The state cabinet completed the demarcation of the new districts on Friday evening, deciding to carve out four districts from the present Jaipur district, and said notifications on all the 19 new districts would be issued in the next few days.

After the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship ofAshok Gehlotat the CM’s residence ended, cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas told journalists that the present Jaipur district would be carved out into four districts – Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Dudu and Kotputli-Behror. The presentJodhpurdistrict will be divided into Jodhpur and Jodhpur Rural.

The cabinet observe that implementation and monitoring of development-related schemes will be more effective and the common people will have greater access to government schemes, facilities and Services.

In another major decision, the cabinet decided to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Allotment of Residential Accommodation) Rules, 1958, to provide relief to Women government employees who are transferred during pregnancy. This amendment will allow female government employees who have been allotted government residences to be able to keep them at normal rent till the end of their maternity leaves.

Indian DGCA and EU aviation agency to collaborate on unmanned aerial vehicles

India is quickly moving to take its success in the area of drones to the next logical steps like using air taxis for urban mobility. Aviation authorities are tying up with international agencies to make the framework of rules to safely implement them same by devising air traffic management solutions; develop certification standards and putting in place the required infra.

TheDirectorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) has signed aMoUwith theEuropean Union Aviation Safety Agency(EASA) for cooperation in unmanned aircraft systems and innovative air mobility. This comes on heels of the two civil aviation authorities signing a letter of intent (LoI) on these two issues during the EU-India Aviation Summit held in New Delhi this April.

The MoU will also ensure regular information sharing between the two authorities on the technological developments and research in this area and also their respective strategies for outreach to relevant stakeholders. Further, the MoU will result in collaboration in conducting conferences, workshops, training programmers by DGCA and EASA in this area. The signing of this MoU is expected to result in harmonised standards and accelerated Growth of Indian unmanned aviation sector.
