Survey: Less than 1% positivity rate in Haryana rural areas

The had launched a Health check-up scheme in about 5,000 villages on May 15 following an increase ofCovid-19cases in rural areas ofHaryana.

So far, 75,000 Covid tests have been carried out in rural areas of the state. Out of them, only 562 have people have tested positive so far a positivity rate of 0.7%. With this, health department officials said they have been able to contain Covid spread in rural areas.

In 164 rural areas of Gurgaon with a Population of over 3.8 lakh, only 24 people have tested positive. Around 1.7 lakh people in these villages have been screened so far, out of which 1,480 were found to have influenza-like illnesses (ILI).

Healthcare workers are conducting door-to-door healthscreeningcamps covering each household in every village in Haryana.
