The state tourism departments plan to construct skywalks at five prominent tourist spots awaits cabinets approval now.
The tourist spots include Hundru, Jonha, Dassam falls in Ranchi, Patratu Dam in Ramgarh and the Netarhat Hills in Latehar district.
Efforts to commission the skywalks began early this year when the department invited private agencies for conducting a feasibility study for the projects.
Initially, the department hit hurdles as its tenders failed to evince interest among agencies. Two tenders failed to attract any bidders.
Hundru, Jonha and Dassam are three famous waterfalls around the state capital and attract thousands of tourists throughout the year. Likewise, Netarhat Hills draws thousands of tourists for its scenic beauty.
