Chhattisgarhs first Technology Business Incubator will be set up at the National institute of technology, Raipur (NIT-Raipur). This new technology incubation centre aims to develop flair ofinnovation and entrepreneurial shipin theyouth of Chhattisgarhand students of the institute.
The institute has been allotted Rs 7.9 crores by the Centre under the recurring budget to NIT Raipur Foundation for Innovation and for setting up the incubation centre. The Union department of Science and Technology will assist the institute in the establishment of this centre.
The idea to build up an ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in NIT Raipur is brainchild of NIT Raipur director Dr A M Rawani. The career development centre is carrying out various activities under the dedicated innovation cell and entrepreneurship cell since last three years under his guidance.
