Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said the ongoing socio-economic survey in Chhattisgarh will also audit Central schemes regarding toilet construction, Ujjwala and water tap connection under the Jal Jeewan Mission.
Baghel told the media that the Union Government only talks about data of its schemes and it is never surveyed whether the schemes are a success or a failure.
The Centre had provided LPG connections to households but it never collects data whether they are able to refill the cylinders or not. Similar is the case with construction of toilets which he said “are reported to be a great failure”.
The ongoing socio-economic survey will help the government to identify the new beneficiaries as many have been added after the data currently used from the 2011 census, Baghel said.
