Singaporean High Commissioner in India, Simon Wong, said that there was a favourable environment for investment in Uttar Pradesh and a large number of Singapore investors were willing to invest in different projects of the state, including in the defence industrial corridor and MSME sector.

Similarly, several are being developed with the aim to increase air connectivity. An international airport is being constructed in Kushinagar which will facilitate the movement of Buddhist followers living in the country and abroad. DEFENCE industrial corridors are being developed in the state at Aligarh, Agra, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot and Kanpur, the states top official said.

The Singaporean high commissioner said that the trade relations between Singapore and India were very strong and there was a favourable Environment for Investment in UP and the Logistics points had been developed in a very systematic manner.

It being the most religious place, a large number of devotees from all over the country and abroad come to Uttar Pradesh. Singapore investors are willing to invest in setting up the Bundelkhand defence Industrial corridor, MSME, logistics, integrated Township, and data centre in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, investors want to invest in the area of skill centres in Varanasi, Wong said.
