A financial assistance of Rs 377.98 crore was disbursed by banks under the https://exam.pscnotes.com/POVERTY-alleviation”>Poverty Alleviation programmes in Bilaspur in the second quarter of the year. This was revealed by Pankaj Rai, DC, while addressing a review meeting on the implementation of government programmes at Bilaspur.
He said the target for the second quarter was Rs 650 crore and Rs 377.98 was disbursed till September 30. This included Rs 173.38 crore in the Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture sector, Rs 168.67 crore in micro, small and medium industries and Rs 35.93 crore was given under Primary Sector Entrepreneurship programmes.
Rai said people coming forward for self-EMPLOYMENT and entrepreneurship should be encouraged. This would also help in job generation. Agriculture graduates would be provided 44 per cent subsidy for establishing agriculture-based units
