The state-of-the-art Physical Referral Rehabilitation Center here is giving a ray of hope to thousands of differently-abled persons by providing them artificial limbs, wheelchairs as well as physiotherapy.
People from Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states come to the center for artificial limbs.
In collaboration with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), the Center provides free-of-cost artificial limbs to Divyangs and training on limb movement and maintaining balance.
Special equipment is made for the rehabilitation of patients suffering from cerebral palsy. Such patients have a lack of balance in walking. They get free of cost wheelchairs and other chair so that the patients can eat, sit and read easily.
Along with this, special physiotherapy equipment is available for the convenience of such patients.
Apart from this, artificial limbs, calipers and other assistive accessories are made according to needs.
So far, 3,740 patients have benefited with 5,258 artificial limbs and devices through the centre.
