The -registered start-ups have generated Investment of Rs 236 crore including Rs 150 crore in the past two years. The start-ups garnered funding from various backgrounds including Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, healthcare, Education and fintech.
The start-up programs have created 21,980 jobs since 2015 contributing to the economy. Initially, the scale of investment and job creation was low but in the past 2-3 years it has accelerated.
2,979 start-ups have been registered with the government while 1,970 have been approved under the Rajasthan start-ups program. The department projection said that they can cross the registered start-ups by 3,200 by the end of the financial year.
This year 45 start-ups have been selected for the sustenance allowance of Rs 20,000 monthly for showing promising potential. The Bhamashah Techo Hub at Jhalana has 12 consultants providing mentoring 24/7 to start-ups and receiving 7-8 applications on a daily basis. The DoIT has almost completed the training of 2-4 teachers in every district to mentor start-ups in colleges.
