Rajasthan govt drags feet on declaring Kumbhalgarh a tiger reserve

Member of the(NTCA) andRajsamandMP DiyaKumaricriticised the State Government for dragging its feet to declareKumbhalgarhandTodgarh Wildlifesanctuary as atiger reserve.

During NTCA meeting in New Delhi, which was chaired by Union minister of Environment, forest and Climate-change”>Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav, Kumari highlighted that no action has been taken by theRajasthangovernment in this regard.

In the draft report submitted by the committee suggested to declaring a 2,053 square kilometre area for tiger reserve after fulfilling certain conditions. The reserve will be spread across four districts such as Udaipur, Pali, Rajsamand and Sirohi.
