The chief minister said the here should try to produce more to meet the rising demand in overseas markets. Gehlot also drew attention to the waste generated by the industry which is as high as 65%. He urged the chief secretary to hold a meeting of mines and Environment departments to find solutions to reduce the waste.
He also appealed to the industry to adopt preventive measures to curb incidences ofsilicosisdisease. The government is giving Rs 3-5 lakh but that is not saving lives and mine workers are dying. He said preventive measures are the key to saving mine workers from getting silicosis.
