Chief ministerAshok Gehlot gave approval to provide 4% reservation to persons with disabilities (PwDS) in promotions in the Services.
Along with this, provision has been made to provide relaxation to specially-abled persons in the upper age limit and minimum marks to be secured in the direct recruitment, read an official statement issued by the chief minister’s office.
Gehlot gave approval to the circular for effective implementation. Gehlot also gave instructions to appoint nodal officers in each department to comply with the provisions of reservation for PwDs.
In this regard, he approved the circular to be issued by the department of personnel (DOP) to all the departments for the effective implementation of theRajasthanRights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules-2021 in the state.
Rajasthan is one of the leading states after Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Chhattisgarh to make provisions of reservation in promotion for PwDs.
