The will urge the Centre to increase the states labour budget forMGNREGAscheme from 30 crore to 40 crore for the next financial year (2022-23) looking at the huge demand for work under the scheme in rural areas.
For this financial year, the Centre had revised the labour budget to 37.35 crore looking at the huge demand for MGNREGA work in the state in view of the Covid situation. Last year (2020-21), the labour budget amounting to 46 crore was utilised in the state.
However, there has been no increase in allocation for MGNREGA in the union budget 2022-23, with the central government retaining it at Rs 73,000 crore for 2022-23.
So far,Rajasthanhas generated persondays amounting to 36.65 crore.
