The will open over 2,000 government-aided English medium schools.
The government has opened about 2,700 English medium schools. We will open 2,000 more such schools, said Kalla.
During the event, Kalla conducted online lottery to admit students under the Right To Education (RTE) schemein 32,722 non-government schools. Under this scheme, 25% seats are allotted underRTEscheme for students of pre-primary to Class-1 in these private schools. The fee is reimbursed by the state.
The government had conducted lottery for around 2 lakh seats at 37,354 non-government schools. However, number of students who applied for this scheme is more than the number of seats.
