Bharat Stage VI compliant flex-fuel engines, advanced driver assists systems, e-quadricycles, and electronic control units (ECU).

Previously, the government had only included two-wheelers and four-wheelers in the PLI scheme.

PLI Scheme For Automobiles

In September 2021, the authorised a PLI scheme for autos with a budget of Rs 25,938 crore.

This programme intends to encourage the auto Industry to invest in high-value advanced automotive technology vehicles and goods such as adaptive front lighting, sunroofs, tyre pressure monitoring systems, automatic braking, and collision warning systems.
