At a state-level review meeting of the department, Education minister BD Kalla, along with secretary and other senior officials, stressed on improving the quality of classroom education by increasing the presence of teachers and proper implementation of ban on passbooks in schools.
The minister said that expansion of the number of schools has been done in the state but now officials must ensure that teachers are available in schools and focus on makingRajasthana knowledge hub.
The minister instructed officials that every school in the state must prepare a 25-year master plan depending on the enrolment numbers. This should be a plan of overall development of the school with details of whatever development is needed in that particular school, he said.
Chief MinisterAshok Gehlotwants to make Rajasthan a knowledge centre and for this we must make qualitative changes and ensure that teachers are available in schools. Students cannot gain knowledge from passbooks or one-week series, they cannot become able enough to sit for state level, national level competitive exams.
