Poor to get free ration, cash help in state, says CM Yogi Adityanath

People living below https://exam.pscnotes.com/POVERTY-line”>Poverty Line, holders of Antyodaya cards and others in need will start getting free ration from May 20. Financial aid of Rs 1,000 will also be given to daily wage earners from June.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, whose government has announced free dry ration and financial aid to the needy, said that community kitchens are being run in 71 out of 75 districts in the state. He said that he has directed authorities to ensure that government run community kitchens should be organised in all 75 districts.

The rations will include 3kg wheat and 2kg rice. The scheme is expected to benefit around 15 crore people.

The CM said that in Light of the corona curfew, daily wage earners, who have lost jobs, will be given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 each from June.

The scheme, applicable to around one crore daily wagers in urban areas, including street vendors, cart pullers, labourers, construction workers, e-rickshaw drivers, rickshaw pullers, barbers, dhobis, halwais, mochis and people involved in traditional forms of EMPLOYMENT, will get the payment of Rs 1,000 each.
