More than 6 lakh street-vendors have received loans inMadhya Pradeshso far under the PMSVAnidhischeme, said urban development and housing ministerBhupendra Singh.
Madhya Pradesh tops the country as far as implementation of the scheme is concerned and this position will be maintained in future as well, he said.
In the first phase of PM SVAnidhi Yojana, MP is at the top position in the country by disbursing loans worth Rs 498.77 crore to 5 lakh urban street-vendors. In the second phase of PM SVAnidhi Yojana, it is at the second place in the country by disbursing loan of Rs. 194.74 crore to 97508 urban street-vendors. In the third phase of the scheme, 1,726 urban street-vendors have been given interest-free loan of Rs 8.59 crore. Moreover, 2.26 lakh street-vendors have received cashback of Rs 3.15 crore by doing digital transactions.
The scheme is applicable for all such street-vendors who are vending in urban areas on and before March 24, 2020, and have certificate of vending/identity card issued by the .
PM Street Vendors Atma NirbharNidhi Yojana(PM SVAnidhi) was started from 2020 by the central government to provide WORKING CAPITAL loans of Rs 10,000, 20000 and 50,000 to street vendors, the most affected class in urban areas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the first phase of the scheme, an interest-free loan of Rs 10,000 was given. On repaying it on time, a loan of 20,000 and then 50,000 rupees was given.
