Prime MinisterNarendra Modi announced that PM Mitra mega textile parks will be set up in Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra,Gujarat, MP and UP.
The PM Mitra mega textile parks will provide state-of-the-art Infrastructure for the textiles sector, attracts Investment of crores and create lakhs of jobs. It will be a great example of ‘Make in India‘ and ‘Make For the World,
Gujarat has been selected for one PM Mitra Mega Textile Park and the Gujarat government has already allotted land near Navsari as well as a special budget for it. Gujarat government will have a 51% stake in the proposed park. The states have been selected on the basis of Gati Shakti Mission and also their textile, labour and power policies were taken into account to ensure that the park helps the textile Industry of the state.
