Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday said the is working to develop better EMPLOYMENT opportunities in rural areas.

Rajasthan housing board adopts Japanese method to make ‘Pink City’ green

The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has implemented a Japanese technique to make the ‘Pink City’ green. Planting inside the upcoming grand City Park in Mansarovar, city planners at the RHB has adopted the world famous Miyawaki method of Japan.

India had pledged to adopt this technique under the Paris Agreement to expand its green cover from 25% to 33%. The Paris Agreement was adopted by 196 countries at the Conference of the Parties (CO) in Paris, on December 12, 2015.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has started a historic initiative to set up first ever Tussar Silk Yarn Production Centre at Choudwar in Cuttack district in Odisha.

The silk yarn production centre was inaugurated on September 24, 2021 by Chairman of KVIC, Vinai Kumar Saxena.

This centre will ensure local availability of Tussar Silk yarn, reduce the silk production cost as well as create local EMPLOYMENT.

Tussar silk is one of the finest varieties of Silk. It is distinguished by its coarseness and porous weave, giving it a rugged and rustic appearance.

This centre was set up at a cost of Rs 75 lakh.

It is capable of producing 200 KG of silk yarn of worth Rs 94 lakh annually.

Tamil Nadu government, which unveiled its new export promotion strategy recently, has identified six champion sectors to focus for the statesexports thrust.The champion sectors identified for strategy include automobile and auto components, textiles, food processing, leather and footwear, electronic and communication as well as machinery.

Unveiling the states Export Promotion strategy on Wednesday this week, chief minister M K Stalin had set out a target for the state to achieve $100 billion in exports by 2030. This requires the states exports to jump four-fold in just over eight years from the present $26 billion and hence the need to identify champion sectors for special focus as part of the strategy.

Nadu boasts of a diversified export basket in various sectors including automobile and components, machinery and instruments, electronic hardware, Software, readymade garments and accessories, yarns, fabrics and leather

products. Manufactured goods account for a significant share of the states economic Growth and exports and hence it has traditionally focused on exportoriented manufacturing to foster high-value production.

According to the export policy, the value of merchandise from Tamil Nadu stood at Rs 11.55 lakh crore ($168.5 billion) between 2015-16 and 2020-21. In FY2020-21, Tamil Nadu accounted for 9% of the national exports.

A plea filed by Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple has been declined by S.C.

The Supreme Court declined Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Trusts Plea in 2020, Seeking to exempt it from the audit of 25 years as ordered by the court.

The Temple has been within the news since 2011 after discovering treasure worth over Rs. 1 lakh crore in its secret vaults.

The SC in 2011 said, as per customary law, members of the royalty have

shebait rights even after the death of the last ruler.

Shebait rights mean the proper to manage the financial affairs of the deity.

The previous Travancore royalty created the Padmanabhaswamy Temple Trust.

However, the court ordered arranging an executive committee with the Thiruvananthapuram District Judge as its chairperson for transparent administration of the Temple within the future.

The trust argues that the court ordered it to oversee rituals of the Temple, with no role of the administration.
