Sanitary napkin incinerators (napkin-destroying machines) will be installed at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) andJharkhandResidential Girls School in the state.
The Jharkhand Education Project Council in collaboration with the Health medical education and family welfare department, will install incinerators in 203 KGBV schools and 58 Jharkhand GirlsResidential Schoolsin an effort to maintain hygiene in the schools.
The sanitary napkin incinerator disposes of used napkins in an eco-friendly manner.
