Giving industry status reflects the states robust focus on tourism and it will prove to be a game-changer, said tourism ministerVishvendra Singhat a pre-event roadshowRajasthanDomestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2022.
The minister said tourism sector is one of the largest employers and its Growth is key for the economy of Rajasthan. Addressing the tourism Fraternity, principal secretary (tourism) Gayatri Rathore said MoUs and LoIs amounting to Rs 11,906 crore for 363 projects, which will generate jobs for 57,138 persons, were signed during the Invest Rajasthan Roadshows .
The objective of RDTM is to promote tourism which is critical in current times given that foreign tourist movement is yet to pick up speed.
