To provide best in-class amenities to passengers and enhance their travel experience,Puri RAILWAY stationwill be redeveloped into a world class transit hub.
It will be built with an estimated cost of Rs 82 crore on design, build, finance, operate, transfer model.
Rail Land Development Authority(RLDA), a statutory authority under theministry of railwaysfor the Development Of Railway land, has invited bids for this upgradation and integrated redevelopment of the station spanning 28,574 square metres. It will also develop surrounding railway land.
Puri railway station, which falls under non-suburban grade-2 category, is one of the busiest stations of the East Coast Railway. It has eight platforms handling 52 trains daily.
