The state Sports and youth Services department on Saturday signed an agreement with theSwimming Federation of India(SFI) to develop, promote and expand the swimming ecosystem in the state.
According to the agreement,Odishagovernment will support and sponsor SFI while the federation in association with the Odisha State Swimming Association (OSSA) will provide their technical expertise. The PARTNERSHIP will be valid for one year extendable to five years, under mutually agreed terms, said an official source.
The partnership, over the next five years, will be towards the holistic development of the sport from grassroot to elite, including conduct of competition of national and international repute and conducting training programmes for the trainers in Odisha.
