Governor Anusuiya Uikey, addressing the main Republic Day function in Raipur, said the Nyay schemes introduced by the Chhattisgarh government have helped to carve a ‘Nava Chhattisgarh’.
She said the success of the people is the Republic’s strength. The Republic Day underlines the need to run the country in accordance with the Constitution and to empower the public with legal powers and rights, she said.
A new era of prosperity and happiness has started in Chhattisgarh with the help of the flagship schemes of the government, she said.
Naxalite activities have also been reduced and leftwing extremists have begun to return to the mainstream, the Governor said.
Uikey lauded the Chhattisgarh government for taking significant initiatives on issues of Jal-Jungle-Zameen and EMPLOYMENT.
She said the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana was launched in Chhattisgarh to financially empower farmers who grow crops other than paddy and Rs 16,442 crore has been disbursed in the last three years.
The Governor stated that the ‘Godhan Nyay Yojana’ had proved to be a one-of-a-kind initiative that is now being adapted at the national level.
She said that the dream of Universal PDS has been realized. At present, the number of beneficiaries has increased to 2.61 crore.
The Union Government‘s ‘One Nation One Ration Card Scheme’ is being implemented so that families can draw ration from anywhere in the country.
She said that in the last four years, 1,856 new industrial units were established in the state in which capital of about Rs 20,000 crore was made and more than 34,000 people got employment.
