North Eastern Tea Association celebrates 40 glorious years of service to tea industry

The North Eastern Tea Association (NETA) celebrated its 40 years of glorious service to the tea of Assam on October 17 at its auditorium in Golaghat with a call to make tea the national drink of India.

Assam Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture minister Atul Bora, who was the chief guest, requested Lok Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, who was present at the function, to take up the matter of declaring tea as the countrys national drink. Bora and Tasa jointly released a logo of NETAs 40 Glorious Years.Tasa stated that after two years, the Assam tea industry will celebrate 200 years and appealed to all stakeholders to bring back the glory of Assam tea, emphasising on quality tea as the mantra.
