On the completion of two years of JMM-Congress-RJD in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren gifted the people of the State with schemes and development projects in the tune of Rs 17,222.02 crore in a glittering anniversary celebration function at the historic Morhabadi Ground of the State Capital.
In a move to give relief to people, especially to those belonging to the lower income group of the State, the CM announced Rs 25 per litre cash back on purchase of petrol for ration card holders of
the State. However, the cash back can be availed upto purchase of 10 litres of petrol every month and the subsidy amount will be transferred to the beneficiarys bank account through DBT.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to implement the Students Credit Card scheme and said that soon they would get the benefit of this scheme. Lack of Money will never become a hindrance to them for their Education. He said Jharkhand is a product of the State movement. Many people gave their martyrdom in the movement for this State. Our Government is giving pension to such agitators and their dependents with respect. Now they will get 5 per cent horizontal reservation in Government jobs.
The CM said 100 per cent Scholarship is being given to Scheduled Tribe students for higher education abroad. This year, under this scheme, six students have been selected to study abroad. Now the State Government is also working towards expanding the scope of this scholarship scheme. Promising students of other classes will also be linked to the scholarship scheme for higher education abroad.
The CM said there has been a demand for the implementation of Old Pension Scheme for a long time by the employees of the State Government. The Government is considering their demand and a legal decision will be taken soon.
