Dr YS Parmar University of and Forestry, Nauni, has signed an MoU with a Shimla-based Food Processing company for the production of apple cider vinegar based on the technology developed by its scientists.
This is the second start-up that has signed an agreement with the university for the transfer of technology by paying Rs 40,000 as fee. The company will acknowledge the universitys name on the product label.
KD Sharma, Professor and Head, Department of Food Science and Technology, said the technology was an alternative to the traditional methods and ensured utilisation of culled apples.
