Theair qualityofNashikcity has improved from satisfactory to good.
According to theMaharashtra Pollution Control Board(MPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Nashik city, which was satisfactory at 71 around a week ago (on May 12), has improved to 46 with good category.
As per parameters, AQI between 1 and 50 indicates good air quality, while AQI between 51 and 100 is considered satisfactory even though it causes minor breathing discomfort to sensitive people.
AQI between 101 and 200 is considerate moderate but it causes breathing discomfort to the people with lungs, asthma and heart diseases. AQI between 201 and 300 is poor and causes breathing discomfort to most people on prolonged exposure.
