To promote Chhattisgarhi dialect and culture, the North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) has developed the Chhattiskosh app in which Chhattisgarhi words can be translated into English and vice-versa.
In the first phase of the app, 25,000 English words will be available for translation, NACHA President Ganesh Kar said.
The facility to translate an essay in English or Chhattisgarhi into English or Chhattisgarhi simultaneously will be developed in the second phase which will possibly begin in 2024-25, he said.
The association has taken the help of professors and students of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University for the selection of words, he said.The app will have the facility to read the original works of Chhattisgarhi writers besides tutorial Videos of Chhattisgarhi language will also be included in the app, Kar added.
