As part of expansion of its transmission Network in and aroundIndore,Madhya Pradesh PowerTransmission Company Limited (MPPTCL) is going to set up a new gas insulated substation (GIS) in the city.
Being planned in place of an old power grid of Mahalakshmi Nagar area of the city, this new substation will have 50MVA capacity, and it will be the state’s first GIS grid to be used for high voltage transmission work.
The 50 MVA substation is part of MPPTCL’s efforts to reinforce the existing high-voltage transmission ring project around Indore and it will increase the bulk power available for the east part of the city and also for the upcoming Metro Rail project.
