Madhya Pradeshis expected to attract Rs 4,000-Rs 4,500 crore from pharmaceutical industries in the next 5 years amid lucrative policies, incentives and geographical advantage, saidDr Viranchi Shah, national president,Indian Drug Manufacturers Association(IDMA).
IDMA is Indias largest association of drug manufacturers with 1,100 members from small, medium and large scale industries that together contribute around 80 per cent in the total drugs manufactured in India. We are interacting with the MP government and trying to facilitate serious investors in the state. The policies and incentives offered by MP are very attractive for industries. We expect an investment of around Rs 4,000-Rs 4,500 crore to come to MP in the next 5 years into drug manufacturing and medical devices, said Shah on the side-lines of the executive committee eeting held in Indore where close to 100 Industry players from the pharmaceutical sector from India have participated.
