Mines dept to map dist-wise mineral base

Theminesdepartment is undertaking a district-wise survey of mineral reserves and Resources to map availability, demand, exploration, and extraction. The district survey report will be prepared in 21 days by a third party appointed by the department.

As part of the plan, the district collector will put the survey in the public domain for comments and suggestions. There after the report will be sent to the state Environment-impact-assessment”>Environment Impact Assessment and state expert committee, the department will undertake activities like exploration, delineation of plots and auction.

The District Survey report (DSR) will contain data published and endorsed by various departments and websites about geology of the area, mineral wealth details, existing leases, mining activities, details of forests, rivers, , Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, road, transportation, and Climate etc.

The survey will help in a big way to harvest the riches, creating jobs at the local level, unleashing entrepreneurial activities and earning revenues for the state.
