The has special emphasis on strengthening the rural economy. In this context, the schemes related to MGNREGA are very important for Jharkhand. There should be strong monitoring to maintain transparency in these schemes, said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while presiding over the meeting of the Jharkhand State Rural EMPLOYMENT Guarantee Scheme today. He directed the officers to hold Jharkhand State Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme meeting every three months under the chairmanship of the Vice President, so that all the schemes can be reviewed regularly and in detail.
The CM said that in order to maintain transparency and quality in the implementation of schemes related to MGNREGA, the accountability of the beneficiaries should also be fixed. This will also help in completing the schemes within the stipulated time frame and the beneficiaries will get rid of middlemen.
The CM said that many schemes are being run by the state government under MNREGA. In such a situation, there is no dearth of labourers. He asked the officials to inform the villagers about these schemes and take initiative to connect them with these schemes. This will increase their income and there will be rapid development of the village.
