Like other states in the northeastern region,Meghalaya, which too has been affected by the steady exodus of people from violence-hitManipur, has decided to keep track of the displaced.
Chief minister Conrad Kongkal Sangma said directions have been given to the authorities concerned to keep track of people from Manipur taking refuge in Meghalaya.
He further said the has put a system in place, as part of which the headmen of the various localities and the district administrations are keeping track of everyone who is coming to Meghalaya from Manipur.
