Chief ministerN BirenSingh has said his government aimed to empower the minority sections of the Society, and to take them along in the path of development. He was speaking at the 9th State Level Chaga Ngee Festival atMakuilongdi-II, Liang-Nam, in Naga-dominated Senapati district.
The CM also said the Heritage Park, which is being constructed at Makhel at a cost of Rs 6 crore, would be completed within a few weeks.
Biren said the Liangmai community of the state did not have access to certain benefits of the governments welfare programmes earlier. So, his government decided to open a sub-deputy collectors office at Makui village. Later, it would be upgraded to sub-divisional office.
