Maharashtra lifts stay on land allotment proposals

The last week lifted the stay on land allotment decisions taken by theMaharashtra Industrial Development Corporation(MIDC) on June 1.

The stay was imposed on August 8 after the chief ministers office sought a review of all land allotment proposals by the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government. The order affected as many as 191 proposals, covering 697 acres in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur, which were expected to generate Rs12,000 crore in revenue.
