A unique 11-digit number has been attributed to all land parcels in the urban and rural areas of the state with effect from September 19, and data is now being shared with different government departments to prevent fraudulent land transactions.
Commonly called ‘Aadhaarfor land’, the state has readied theUnique Land Parcel Identification Number(ULPIN) for some 3crore documents – 2.62crore 7×12 extracts, and 70lakh property cards in the state.
Along with ULPIN, there are unique numbers for all 44,505 revenue villages in the state.
