Among the top 15 highly populated states, Kerala received maximum vaccine supply from the Union Government in proportion to its estimated Population between January and July this year, reveals data provided under RTI Act. Madhya Pradesh was at the sixth position in receiving vaccine doses till July this year.
The department also provided a state-wise list of vaccine supplied. As per the information, among the top 15 highly populated states of the country, it was Kerala that received maximum number of doses in proportion to its estimated population. Kerala received 1.64 crore vaccine doses between January and July this year, which was around 45.11% of the states estimated 3.65 crore population. Then it was Gujarat which received second highest 2.97 crore vaccine doses which was 45.04% of its estimated population of 6.6 crore. Gujarat was followed by Rajasthan as it had received 2.85 crore doses.
Madhya Pradesh was at the sixth position with the state receiving 2.91 crore vaccine doses which was 35.04% of its estimated population of 8.31 crore.
