‘Made in Telangana’ physiotherapy monitoring device developed by Hyderabad startup bags USFDA nod

Startoon LabsPvt Ltd, a Hyderabad-based medical devices startup focused on joint Health, on Tuesday said it has bagged US Food & Drug Administration clearance for its IoT-enabled wearable devicePheezeethat uses patented technology to assess musculoskeletal and neuromuscular health.

The `Made inTelangana device measures the surface electromyogram (sEMG) of bulk muscles and range of motion (ROM) of primary joints simultaneously to determine joint health, making it a one-of-a-kind product in the world with this capability, Startoon Labs founder & CEO Suresh Susurla said.

He said the USFDA approval has widened the reach of the device, which uses advanced technology such as electromyography and ROM monitoring.
