Addressing the people during the programme as the Chief Guest Patnaik said that through this way production has increased and market is also available but the price that one should get for that product is very less. If the produce is processed and sold in the market, delivered to the consumer through the Palash market, then a very good price can be found from the market. For example, in Lohardaga district, there is a lot of production of honey, but it is not processed and taken to the market. If the Women of SHGs use a flour mill instead of wheat, do packaging of flour, process tamarind, chironji, drumstick and others, then they can get a very good price and women ‘s self help group can become very strong, she added.
The Commercial Tax Secretary said that if the women of JSLPS or (SHGs) give their products to the Farms Producers Group, then they can get a very good price for it.
