Jal Jeevan Mission: Centre gives Rs 2,345 crore to Rajasthan govt

The Centre on Tuesday allocated Rs 2,345 crore to the under PM Narendra Modis flagship programmeJal Jeevan Mission(JJM).

The programme is intended to provide tap water connections in rural households in the country including 1.1 lakh households in Rajasthan. The allocation is part of the total allocation of Rs 10,180.50

This shows the commitment of the central government in providing tap water connections to all households by 2024, said Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Jal Shakti minister in a statement.
