Indore Smart City Development Limited(ISCDL) will install solar power systems at 100 public and community toilets to reduce electricity consumption.
Solar power panels with a capacity of 2kilowatt each will be installed at public and community toilets. The project will be taken up under ‘green energy’ initiative. It will also be listed by ISCDL to obtain ”, which can be sold in the international market and used to generate revenue.
There are around 300 public and community toilets in city and the monthly electricity bill at each toilets is around Rs100 to Rs200. IMC garbage transfer stations and public gardens, including the regional park, already have solar systems.
