Hyderabad organization ICRISAT has been awarded

Hyderabad organization ICRISAT (International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics) has been awarded the Africa Food Prize for 2021 for improving meals security in sub-Saharan Africa. The Tropical Legumes Project developed 266 types of extended legumes and half of a million tons of seeds for a variety of legume crops, which includes cowpeas, pigeon peas, chickpea, frequent bean, groundnut, and soybean. The accelerated seeds benefitted over 25 million farmers in Climate-resilient tactics and to manage pest outbreaks throughout the region.
