Haryana: Youth in 18 to 35 age group must work for mass awareness in society, says CM Manohar Lal Khattar

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Tuesday that India is one of the youngest countries in the world, considering which, the is making every possible effort to inspire about 75 lakh youths in the age group of 18 to 35 in Haryana.

For this, Sports, Art and Culture can play an important role in nurturing the talent of the youth, he said, while directly interacting with the representatives of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sports cell, who came to meet him at his residence.

The CM said that according to a study, 65 per cent of the Population of the country is youth, of which 30 per cent are in the age group of 18 to 35 and the participation of zero to 18 age group is about 35 per cent. “Hence, we have to pay extra attention to the age group of 18 to 35 as to how our Society should become a civilized society of high order,” he said.

Khattar said that Haryana is the first state in the country where an advance of Rs 5 lakh is given to any player to prepare for their selection for the Olympics. Apart from giving cash rewards to the players bagging first, second and third positions, the state government has started giving cash rewards also to the players who finish fourth in any sports.
