Haryanadeputy chief minister,Dushyant Chautalahas said that the outstanding amount of Rs 629 crore ofGST compensationfor June 2022 will be received from the Centre soon. Chautala said that the approval for the same has been given today in the 49th GST Council meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.
The deputy CM further informed that the GST Council has reduced the rate of GST on Rab (Liquid Jaggery) to zero. GST on loose liquid jaggery has been reduced from 18 per cent to nil. That means there will be no tax on it. At the same time, the rate of GST on packaged liquid jaggery has been reduced from 18% to 5%. GST rates on pencils and sharpeners have been reduced from 18% to 12%.
