TheHaryanagovernment claims to be putting the highest monthly share of Rs 9,961 into theAnganwadiworkers honorarium, while the central share is Rs 2,700. This is a 60:40 PARTNERSHIP scheme of the central and state governments.
In Haryana during 2014, the Anganwadi workers used to get Rs 7,500 and the Anganwadi helpers Rs 3,500 as honorarium, which has almost doubled. The current monthly honorarium is Rs 12,661 to Anganwadi worker, Rs 11,401 to mini Anganwadi worker, and Rs 6,781 to sahayika, inclusive of the central share. A spokesperson of the claimed that this honorarium was highest in north India and second in the country.
