Gujaratmaintained its first position in the country in terms of the value of oilseed and fibre output, according to a recent report prepared by theUnion ministry of statisticsand programme implementation (MoSPI).
The state ranks fifth in terms of value of output from fruits and vegetables and sixth for sugar, the report says. However, for other produce, the state does not figure in the five best performing states of the country, the report notes.
MoSPI recently released its report Statewise and item wise value of output from Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, Forestry and fishing listing the value of output from various items between 2011-12 and 2020-21.
