The ministry of Education on Monday released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, which ranks educational institutions based on various criteria. It was a good year for Gujarat-based institutions as many improved their ranks from 2022.
However, only three institutes managed to get Top 10 rankings in their categories. IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A) kept its No. 1 position in the management category, whileGujaratNational Law University (GNLU) improved its ranking from eighth last year to seventh this year. CEPT University in architecture category was at the seventh rank. There were no new entrants from the state.
IIT Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) jumped 13 positions in the overall category from 37th to 24th rank. In the research category, the institute is up by three spots from 34 to 31, and in engineering it is up from 23 to 18.
